Natural Born Leaders

Over the past couple of weeks Year 8 Students have demonstrated their leadership skills by facilitating the Year 3 and Year 4 School Games Multi-Skills Festivals held at Chesterfield High School. Each student had their own activity to oversee; this involved giving clear instructions on how to complete their respective challenge, backed up with a demonstration. During the actual event the Sports Leaders enforced the rules, kept the scores and awarded stickers to any child who demonstrated the School Games competition values of Honesty, Passion, Determination, Teamwork, Self-belief and Respect. To finish off, each of the primary schools ended up with one overall Multi-Skills Schools Champion, who were presented with their medal by the Year 8 Leaders.

Both events were hugely successful; which was down to the competence of the Leaders who were exceptional and demonstrated leadership skills beyond their years. The Primary School teachers reinforced this, as they were keen to share their admiration and were full of praise and complements for the group.
