Year 11 continue their hard work

Students in Year 11 have today been busy accessing the full range of virtual learning experiences on offer as they maintain their focus and drive to succeed in these challenging times. Almost all of students have accessed live ‘Google Meet’ sessions with their teachers in Mathematics and Spanish and a large number of students also joined the ‘Chesterfield Re-start’ session from 3-4pm in History. Later today your child will receive a list of links for the live sessions for tomorrow. These will appear on the ‘Year 11 Pastoral’ Classroom daily to help you prepare your child for the next day.

Google classroom activity has also been extremely high. This is designed in such a way that it replicates the lessons that would have been taught in school and assesses knowledge and understanding to prepare staff for future lessons and on-line ‘surgery’ with students. It is important that children follow each of the subject classrooms and complete work as directed by their individual teachers so not to fall behind at this time. Class teachers will be in contact with Mr Lewis should any student not engage or fail to complete the necessary work who will intervene as appropriate.

My appreciation goes to the students, parents and staff for their continued support at this time.
