Chesterfield High School is pleased to announce that its students will be receiving some of the best ever A-Level results achieved at the school. Even at a time of national issues with results, the school and the students have maintained their success rate. They have applied and succeeded at achieving a place at university and we wish them well in their future careers and lives.
This year, our school has successfully achieved 100% A*-E, with learners in Year 13 achieving 25% of A level grades, or equivalent, at A*-A and 46% at A*-B. We are very proud of all our students.
Kevin Sexton, Headteacher, commented, “We are delighted with these results. They reflect just how hard students and staff have worked to ensure that our learners achieved excellent outcomes. The standard of teaching and learning in our Sixth Form is truly impressive.
I am so proud of our students and their achievements. These are great results and there are so many wonderful success stories that lie beneath these statistics. What impresses me the most is that we are enabling our students to make real and sustained progress in our Sixth Form. They have been given a huge amount of support by their teachers and parents, but the success they have achieved really comes down to them. This reaffirms our strong ethos of ‘respect for self, respect for others, and respect for learning’.
My biggest pleasure is knowing that so many of these students will now be able to access their chosen destinations, whether that will be university, apprenticeships or a career. I wish them all the best.”
