Sixth Form News – 13/9/19


Year 12 spent an enjoyable day at Rock and River last Thursday. They took part in a number of activities including a high ropes course, canoeing and climbing. The day was organised as part of the induction program intended to break the ice and help student build confidence.

Below is a photograph of the extra large moth discovered on the banks of the lake which caught everyone’s attention.


Year 13 are in the process of completing their UCAS applications on line. Students applying for Oxbridge have an earlier deadline of 15th October and will need to inform the Examinations Office of the Admission Tests they need to be entered for.


The Higher Apprenticeship opportunities for Year 13 start to go live at the end of September so those considering this route will need to create an account and set up alerts. Another worthwhile publication for those considering this route is Careermap which among other information offers advice on different career pathways.
