This half term fifteen Year 7 students have been invited to attend an intervention group on Mondays after school from 3pm-4pm. Each student has a one to one Year 10 mentor who will work with them each week on key arithmetic skills. Each session is personalised to the student’s individual area of need, therefore having maximum impact.
The first two weeks of this mentoring programme have been a huge success and the Year 7 students have really enjoyed working with our gifted and talented Year 10 Mathematicians. The year 10 students are volunteering to help Year 7 as part of their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.
